About the Divorce Mediation Program™

The Divorce Mediation Program™ is a unique process that reduces the complexity and costs associated with ending a marriage. The DMP™ utilizes a very special structure to complete successful conversations around the six most important areas in ending a marriage. A specially trained Divorce Mediation Professional™ facilitates a set of conversations between the two people in a specific time period over a specific number of meetings. Both the time periods and the meeting structure are designed so as to increase the confidence of the parties in what they are deciding and how they are deciding them. The goal of these conversations is to reach agreement taking into account each person's purpose, plan and possibilities given the facts of the marriage situation.

A unique technology, The Equitable Distribution Solution™ (EDS) is utilized to provide a complete before and after graphic presentation of the financial situation in the marriage so that each person is able to view how the assets they have selected and the cash flow they will be receiving will be able to help them achieve the financial goals of their newly single situation. Prior to signing any final agreement the parties are fully aware of what they have decided, how they have decided as well as the short, intermediate and long term consequences of those decisions.

Child custody and co-parenting decisions are resolved through a separate unique process within the DMP™. The Future Child Project™: A Custody Solution™ is a highly successful process for facilitating meaningful and effective discussions between two divorcing parents on all the main issues involved in raising children to maturity with estranged families. The Future Child Project™ (FCP) involves a series of specifically designed conversations around celebrating the success of the past child, managing the relationships of the present child and designing the dreams for the future child. The FCP is specifically designed to reduce friction and facilitate collaboration between the parents, step-parents and concerned adults involved with the development of the children of the divorcing family.

The successful result of the DMP™, the EDS™ and the FCP™ is that the time, costs and complexity of utilizing the traditional adversarial legal process are drastically reduced if not completely eliminated. The Document Solution™, a specific step within the DMP™ allows the settlement agreed to by the parties to be drafted for final signing by a separate and neutral attorney, employed by the DMP™ for the purpose of completing the legal document requirements for the end of a marriage.
